FAQ

  • Is Enterprize Elevate Free?

    Yes! Enterprize Elevate combines world’s best practice lean startup education with best-in-class facilitators and mentors. Comparable programs around the world cost tens of thousands of dollars or take significant equity stakes in your startup – but Elevate is completely free and you keep full ownership of your idea and business. How is this possible? We are a not-for-profit, supported by government and corporate partners, which exists to advance the startup ecosystem in Tasmania. Our partners cover the cost of this program so you don’t have to.

  • How much time will I have to invest?

    This is a 15 week intensive, and we expect it to take upwards of 6 hours per week to confidently complete. This time will include 2x weekly workshops (video calls) live with presenters and your peers, as well as self paced digital coursework every week.

  • What’s the difference between Activate and Elevate

    Activate is online only and will teach you the foundations of lean methodology. It will help you to get a start on finding an idea, testing it and setting a strong foundation for the work we will do in Elevate. Elevate is our founder focused startup incubator. Our small group of founders are hand selected to participate in a 15 week intensive working directly on their startup idea with a supportive community to help them launch.

  • Can I be located anywhere in Australia?

    Yes. You can be located anywhere in Australia to apply. You are required to be in Tasmania Demo Day, which will be help for both 2025 cohorts in November 2025. At Demo Day you'll get to to meet with mentors and investors, connect with your peers, and get prepared for what’s on the other side!

  • Do I need a fully fledged startup idea?

    You can be at the very beginning of your startup journey but you will need to have a clear idea of the problem you want to solve. Your idea may evolve as you go through the program, so be open to things changing and shifting.

  • When does Elevate start?

    Applications for the 1st cohort of 2025 close on 9th March. We'll take a few weeks to run selections (including interviews), and then kick off onboard in mid April.

  • My startup is already in market, can I still participate?

    Yes. We've had people with 18,000 users go back to the fundamentals to refine their products with us before, so the answer is yes definitely, as long as you're willing to be open to changing things.

Activate sets the foundation for applying Elevate's concepts and tools, ensuring you start strong. We'll dive into the startup lingo, industry resources and self-care tips to guide your founder journey.
